Business Goals
Our client is a manufacturer with its own direct-to-customer website and various store locations across Europe. Within a short stipulated time since its inception, it was able to stand apart from the competition and continuously register increasing sales due to its out-of-the-box business model. To further broaden their value, the client plans to focus on the omnichannel model rather than relying on one channel and therefore is expanding their physical locations and transforming their D2C website.
In order to complement their expansion plans, our client wanted to modernize their IT landscape so that they could accelerate their order-to-cash process and have a real-time comprehensive view of their business. For this, they initiated the program of moving from on-premise Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains to the cloud-native ERP tool, the NetSuite.
How NeosAlpha Helped
Our consultants, having an in-depth understanding of NetSuite, took complete responsibility for the overall data migration from on-premise ERP and introduction of the cloud-based NetSuite platform. Our implementation began with a detailed discovery phase to understand and analyze all the underlying business processes of our client and then tailor NetSuite according to their business models.
In phased rollout, we delivered the solution, which was materialized by developing custom codes using suitescripts and customizing the NetSuite fields, record types, reports, page layouts, and dashboards. This helped the client to translate its physical business process into NetSuite processes and realize the full potential of leading ERP technology.
Some highlights of our solution are:
- Incompatibility between the previous ERP and fulfillment partner’s order management application was taken care of by customizing NetSuite.
- For the purchase team, we enabled real-time visibility of items across all locations and channels.
- Introduced “Bin Management” to methodologically organize and track the exact location of items in stock in warehouses.
- Through our suitescripts codes, NetSuite was configured as a centralized database that could access all kinds of crucial information from across the organization, helping the client automate the order processing and invoice generation, provide real-time inventory and shipment updates to customers, and improve cash flow by eliminating time-consuming manual data entries.
- Our solution helped the client to link multiple data sets to a workbook then create a calculation in the intuitive formula builder to track quota attainment for each location.
Results
- They were able to reduce the COGS by 1/3rd as they could now effectively track suppliers and materials and reduced the throughput time.
- Made them nimble enough to promptly introduce first-in-market products that met volatile customer expectations.
